Benefits of composting [Tips]

Did you know?
With natural composting, you can transform your trash into the best fertilizer for your plants.

According to United States Environmental Protection Agency, composting can bring many benefits to your plants, while reducing pollution and the use of chemicals:

-“Enriches soil, helping retain moisture and suppress plant diseases and pests.
-Reduces the need for chemical fertilizers.
-Encourages the production of beneficial bacteria and fungi that break down organic matter to create humus, a rich nutrient-filled material.
-Reduces methane emissions from landfills and lowers your carbon footprint.”

But be careful, not everything is suitable to compost. The following list will help you to select the best trash that can be composted:

-Fruits and vegetables
-Eggshells
-Coffee grounds and filters

How do you start a compost at home?

Many of you might think that you need enough space to make your compost. Well, that’s not true, space is not a problem as long as you manage your storage correctly, using a dedicated bin that can be sealed properly.

“Remember to tend your pile and keep track of what you throw in. A properly managed compost bin will not attract pests or rodents and will not smell bad.”

Wait two to five weeks and your compost will be ready !

We d’love to hear back from you! Share with us your comporting experience.
